 FALL FEASTS 2010

  

All Activities are free of charge and open to the public. 

Love offerings will be received.

8/28       Saturday after service.     Mandatory meeting for all participants of the Tevilah ceremony to be held on 8/29.  Information, instructions and maps will be provided.

8/29       Sunday  10:00 am           Tevilah (Hebraic Immersion) Ceremony at Lake Pleasant:  Everyone is invited to attend and join our ceremony where we will learn about Tashlich (casting off sin);  Teshuvah (return to God) and Tevilah (water immersion/ baptism).  The service will be followed by a picnic and fellowship.  All participants MUST attend the meeting on Saturday the 28th.

 9/4       Saturday after service         Practice for Yom Teruah:  Be sure to have your "trumpets" with you.  We will learn the four shofar calls that will be used at the Yom Teruah service.  Everyone is encouraged to participate. 

9/8     Wednesday  7:00 pm           Erev Yom Teruah / Rosh Ha Shanah:   Come join this interactive service where everyone will learn about the Feast of Trumpets and sound our shofars and blow our silver "Trumpets".

9/17  Friday Sundown                    One day Fast in observance of Yom Kippur - Day of Atonement

9/18     Saturday after service       All are welcome to stay for an afternoon of prayer and discussion about the Fall Feasts.  We will break the fast together (be sure to bring a light meal or snack) at 5:30 and end the Shabbat with the Havdalah blessings.

  9/21     Tuesday  6:00 pm               Put up our Sukkah and conduct our Intercessory Prayer session

9/23     Thursday 7:00 pm               Sukkot Celebration:  Bring your food to share and join us for an evening of praise, worship and fellowship as we observe the Feast of Tabernacles. 

9/29      Wednesday  7:00 pm        Hoshanah Rabah: Re-enactment of the Water Libation ceremony.  Join us for the waving of the willows, drawing of the water and pouring the wine & water over the brazen alter.  Learn about this special ceremony which concludes the seven day Feast of Tabernacles .
