Covering and Accountability

Spiritual Covering and Ministerial Accountability

Spiritual covering is a biblical requirement for Church Leaders & Elders. This is a serious consideration for Arrowhead Messianic Congregation, whose leadership desires to stay fruitful and stay on track with the LORD. We agree with the concept that a man and/or ministry that is not submitted to spiritual authority have no real authority in God. One of the best ways to determine if an independent church or congregation is truly creditable or not is to review the accountability of its leadership - Board of Directors, Senior Rabbis/Pastors and Ministry leaders - and see that they are appropriately submitted to a credible spiritual authority.

Accountability of Leadership

Arrowhead Messianic Congregation (AMC) is a division of Hebraic Harvest International Inc. (HHI). HHI is a Non-profit Corporation in good standing within the State of Arizona. AMC is an independent congregation, in that we are not directly affiliated with a church denomination. However, we do have active relations with and are connected with other congregations and ministries in the Phoenix Metropolitan area.

Rabbi Allan and Pastor Anita Moorhead are members of the Phoenix Minyan, which includes leaders from other Phoenix based messianic congregations and ministries such as Congregation Baruch HaShem, Yeshua ha Mashiach, Jewish Voice Ministries International, and Jews for Jesus. These ministry leaders pray, bear one another’s burdens and strive to provide spiritual covering, counsel, and support for each other.

Congregational Government

The Government of AMC is based on the principal of plurality of elders. Elders are selected in light of the character qualities described in 1 Tim 3:1-7, Titus 1:6-9 and 1 Peter 5:1-5. The Board of Elders, which includes the senior pastor, governs the organization and has the final say regarding the operations and direction of the congregation. While there is no requirement to include the general membership in decision making, AMC conducts, at minimum, an annual State of the Congregation meeting to apprise all congregation members of AMC's membership and financial status.
