Erev Yom Teruah Service

Erev Yom Teruah Service

Sunday Evening | September 29 | 7 pm in Sanctuary

Join us this coming Sunday evening, September 29 at 7 pm, for our Erev Yom Teruah Service. Yom Teruah, or Day of Trumpets or Shouting, is mentioned in Leviticus 23:23-24:

23 Adonai spoke to Moses saying: 24 “Speak to Bnei-Yisrael, saying: In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you are to have a Shabbat rest, a memorial of blowing (shofarot), a holy convocation.

Levitcius 23:23-24 (TLV)

Yom Teruah is the biblical name for Rosh Hashanah. In English, “Yom” means day, and “Teruah” means to make a loud noise.

Remember to bring your shofar or silver trumpet. If you don’t have one, AMC will provide several “silver trumpets” to use for this special occasion. Please remember to return after the service.
